England circa 1820 A rare and unusual Regency parcel gilt mechanical patent overmantel mirror. The outer gold leaf gilt frame is enriched at the corners with bronze patinated anthemia supported by scrolls against a sanded gilt ground. The inner frame is bordered with an egg and dart motif and retains its original mirror plate. The inner frame articulates to adjust the angle of reflection.
These antique dancing figures, masterfully cast in silvered bronze, depict two females and a putto in the classical, allegorical style by J-L. Gregoire (French, 1840-1900), an École des Beaux-Arts, Paris, trained sculptor. The figures, standing full-length on a naturalistic circular base, exhibit classical elegance in their flowing dresses, upbound hair, and the cherubic innocence of the putto. Signed ‘L. Gregoire’ on the base, with foundry ‘Bernoux. E=Ax’ and numbered ‘2467.’

A substantial 19th century Victorian mahogany mortar, having a waisted stem, with lathe chatter marks, on a stepped and circular rounded foot with a slightly concave base. The interior has been well used with a crusty surface. The whole retains a patination.

A good 18th century double ended beech spice measure, having a turned central concave collar and incised line decoration. It has excellent interior pole lathe turnings. The majority of measures of this form are 19th century, which are slightly rounded by the central collar, where as the 18th century ones are vertical as in this instance. The whole has a good colour, grain and patination.
