Vintage Japanese Keyaki Wood Kanto Hibachi Coffee Table – Solid Timber Hearth Table with Copper Liner & Carved Drawers 【Description】 An exceptional vintage Japanese solid timber hearth table (Kanto Hibachi / Low Coffee Table), masterfully crafted from heavy Keyaki (Japanese Zelkova) wood featuring prominent natural grain patterns. Artisanal Craftsmanship & Design Features: Central Copper-Lined Hearth: Features a traditional central square recessed pit lined with heavy copper sheet, complemented by a fitted solid wooden cover lid. Thick Solid Keyaki Top & Joinery: Constructed with a thick, robust frame showing decorative butterfly joinery (Chigiri) along the mitered corners. Hand-Carved Utility Drawers: Incorporates a lower row of functional utility drawers decorated with stylized cloud-motive carved handles and dark wood inlay accents. Contemporary Interior Display: Originally used in historical Japanese homes as a warmth and tea-brewing center, this versatile hearth piece serves as a striking, low-profile central coffee table for modern Japandi living spaces, low lounge areas, or private tea rooms. 【Materials & Construction】 Timber: Heavy solid Keyaki (Japanese Zelkova) wood with a natural protective lacquer finish. Hearth Liner: Original copper sheet lining. 【Condition】 Exhibits fine, clean vintage condition overall with an authentic aged character. Condition notes include: Minor surface paint rubbing and small scuffs on one outer corner edge profile. Faint historic solder repair mark along one inner edge corner of the copper liner. Structurally solid, heavy, and stable with all drawers opening smoothly. Please inspect all high-resolution detailed photographs prior to bidding. 【Period】 Circa 1960s–1970s (Mid to Late Showa Period) 【Dimensions & Estimated Weight】 Width: 92.5 cm Depth: 68.5 cm Height: 43.5 cm 【Shipping Notice for Large Furniture Items】 Please note that due to the substantial size and specialized handling required for this heavy coffee table, international transport to destinations such as Italy, France, Spain, or other countries located further from Germany may take approximately 2 to 4 weeks for final delivery. We ensure safe, white-glove logistics handling every step of the way, and appreciate your patience and understanding.
