Tutte le aste / Moda & Vintage / Hergé - L'Oasis - Complete Journal Rex with a satirical 8-page supplement- B - OE (1937)
Very good condition - Editions Rex (Léon Degrelle) - Hergé Exceptional Supplement "L’oasis" for which Hergé drew in 1937, the quite spectacular publishing title. Even more rare, this supplement, which is deemed absent from most of the collections, is still in his main journal "Rex", that why the complete booklet has 32 pages. This rare journal is one of the most emblematic witness, back then, of the political ascent of Léon Degrelle until Cardinal Mercier ended the support given by the Catholics. This very rare satirical booklet, "L’oasis", includes, apart from the title with camels, an illustration of Hergé considered as no more available, "Le Chant du Muezzin". Booklet in very good condition, part of a ancient binder. No rust, no tears. This lot "Illustrator Hergé" is considered to be absent from most of the collections.
