zeldzame set - Knife rest (6) - acryl, lucite - Vintage Lucite dachshunds

Luxurious set of 6 beautiful dachshund knife rests made of clear acrylic, mid-century Very clear and glossy This knife rest set was made in France in the 1950s-70s in lucite Lucite is the well-known brand name for a high-quality, crystal-clear plastic called polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), commonly known as acrylic or Plexiglas. The material was developed in the 1930s by the chemical company DuPont. Although Lucite is, chemically speaking, just a form of acrylic, the brand name is synonymous with first-class quality that excels in clarity and UV resistance, making it less prone to yellowing than cheaper plastics. Key features: • Crystal clear: It transmits about 92% of light, making it as transparent as glass but much lighter in weight. • Strong and impact-resistant: It is far less prone to breakage and does not splinter like traditional glass. For a beautiful retro table and a perfect gift for dog lovers.
