Yana Medow - Billie

Billie is a small original oil on canvas painting by contemporary artist Yana Medow. This intimate portrait captures a captivating female face with icy blue eyes, flushed cheeks, and vivid crimson lips, creating a striking balance between innocence, confidence, and quiet irony. Painted with expressive brushwork and a refined color palette, the composition focuses on subtle emotion rather than realism. The direct gaze and simplified forms invite the viewer to imagine the story behind the character, making the artwork both intriguing and timeless. As part of Medow's distinctive figurative practice, Billie celebrates individuality through exaggerated features, elegant minimalism, and a touch of playful surrealism. Despite its compact size, the painting has a strong visual presence, making it ideal for creating an intimate focal point in contemporary interiors. Perfect for collectors of contemporary figurative art, modern portraits, and original oil paintings, Billie works beautifully on its own or as part of a curated gallery wall.
