This imposing scene of the baptism of Jesus at the hands of John the Baptist interprets the mystique of Kintsugi as a visual metaphor of purification, divine grace and spiritual rebirth. Through extremely fine veins of gold leaf that repair and beautify the sculpted surfaces of Jesus, John the Baptist, the waters of the Jordan and the dove of the Holy Spirit, the work transforms the cracks into flashes of celestial light that unify the sacred passage. The refined ceramic finish, added to the flow of golden water and the drama of chiaroscuro, offers collectors a monumental piece of sacred art where human fragility is sanctified and elevated by the power of faith and the beauty of reconstruction."}{
