Please consult the original photographs to verify the real condition of the work.” This captivating work in acrylic on canvas combines academic realism with abstract expressionism by portraying a ballet dancer in a poetic spin against a deep black background. The face, arms, and pointe shoes are worked with a refined chiaroscuro that emphasizes the grace and elegance of the figure, while the tutu comes to life through a dripping technique inspired by Pollock. The vibrant splashes in yellow, orange, ochre, and white create an illusion of light and expansive movement that dissolves the structure of the skirt into a shower of sparkles, achieving a piece with great visual impact, serenity, and dynamism in perfect balance.
