XTC Artist - Mc Caviar Red

Red and gold McCaviar cone with its mother-of-pearl spoon by XTC. Original sculpture designed, crafted, and finished by hand by the Artist XTC using polyethylene, resin and acrylic paints and varnishes, and a genuine mother-of-pearl spoon. Probably XTC's most emblematic work to date, in a red and gold version. Diversion of the McDonald’s cone, a future luxurious dish in fast-food style? Not impossible! This isn’t a cardboard McDonald’s cone; it was created from plastics and painted by XTC. The glass cloche is an integral part of the work. Signed and numbered 1/5? or 15? underneath, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. The photographed piece is not necessarily the one that will be sent. Careful, tracked shipping. Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that had to be realized. XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and even Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already thin boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with various resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials. Among others, he draws inspiration from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addiction in general. All possible flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work. The base is wood and may feature a slightly raised grain.
