Blue Baseball Bat: When there’s Marre, there’s MALABAR! by XTC. A literal application of the Malabar communication from the 80s-90s! Aluminium sculpture commercially manufactured (baseball bat) and customized, hand-finished by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and varnishes. The edition number applies to the finish painted by the artist and not to the base object, the bat. Fully painted with Montana spray paints, Posca markers, and varnish. Only painted, no stickers for a homogeneous result and better durability over time. Numbered out of 30 and signed at the base of the handle, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. Born in 1978 in central France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that had to materialize. XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption, which he makes clash with the world of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of plastics and sometimes mineral materials. All possible imperfections are part of the work, which is detailed in photos.
