Wood and metal sculpture by Fred Leyman

Beautiful sculpture by Fred Leyman, made with wood arranged on a black lacquered metal frame that is arched in the base. The wood has numerous horizontal, precise incisions, giving a somewhat technical touch. Great contrast between the stark metal and the organic material. The composition also has a musical quality, something that is often found in Leyman’s work. This sculpture is one in a suite of four sculptures.
