Wilfried Raguel - Ifemelunamma et Obinze

Oil painting on canvas by Wilfried Raguël, titled Ifemelunamma et Obinze, 2024, original work, 100 × 100 cm, portrait, signed on the back, origin France, contemporary style, sold directly by the artist, excellent condition, shipped rolled in a tube. In this double portrait, Wilfried Raguël stages two figures whose presence is reinforced by a deliberately intense palette, dominated by red and black. The deliberately absent gazes, a recurring element in his work, give the characters a presence that is both silent and enigmatic and raise questions about our way of perceiving the other, their identity and representation. French artist based in Madrid and a graduate of the Beaux-Arts, Wilfried Raguël develops work around portrait, identity and representation. His work was notably presented during the solo exhibition Au-delà du regard at the Passe-Vite gallery in Lisbon, in 2024. Original work signed on the back. Excellent condition. The canvas will be carefully protected and shipped rolled in a tube.
