Walther & Sohne - Centrepiece - model "Irene" - Glass - Art Deco

Very beautiful and decorative oval Art Deco coupe or centerpiece in rosaline pressed glass. The model is 'Irene', designed and produced in 1935 by the German glassworks Walther & Söhne. The vase can be found in the 1935 catalog as model no. 22006 (largest version – see the third drawing from the upper right). Walther & Söhne was founded in 1888 by August Walther. The company was known for its Art Deco designs. After World War II the company was nationalized and renamed VEB Sachsenglas. The vase is in good vintage condition. It contains air bubbles and small imperfections typical of pressed glass from the interwar period. The photos are an integral part of the description.
