PAIR OF WALL CONSOLES IN LUIGI XV / ROCOCO STYLE – GILT WOOD DESCRIPTION – ENGLISH Elegant matching pair of Louis XV / Rococo-style wall consoles, made of shaped and carved wood with a refined gilt finish. A highly decorative pair characterised by graceful curves, flowing profiles and rich ornamental details inspired by 18th-century decorative furniture. Both consoles feature a strongly shaped structure with curved fronts, undulating mouldings and elegant cabriole-style legs, creating a light and dynamic appearance. The fronts are decorated with central shell and scroll motifs, complemented by carved foliage details on the sides. The gilded finish has a warm, slightly aged tone, with natural variations and signs of age that enhance the vintage character of the pieces. Both consoles feature a front drawer with wooden interior. The photographs also show the rear and side construction, allowing the particular structure, depth and elegant curved legs to be appreciated. PREPARED FOR A SEPARATE TOP An especially interesting feature is that the consoles are prepared to receive a separate upper top, which is not included in the lot. The future owner can choose the material and design according to personal taste and the intended interior. The top could be made of: * marble * glass * wood * stone * granite * or another material of choice. This feature makes the pair particularly versatile and allows the consoles to be customised while preserving their original decorative structure. STYLE Louis XV / Rococo, featuring characteristic elements of French-inspired 18th-century decorative furniture, including flowing curves, shaped profiles, cabriole legs, shell motifs, scrollwork and foliage decoration. PERIOD 20th century, in Louis XV / Rococo style, with the stylistic attribution based on the visible decorative and construction characteristics. MATERIALS Carved and shaped wood, gilt finish and wooden internal components. CONDITION The consoles are in good vintage condition, considering their age and nature. They show normal signs of age and previous use, including minor abrasions, small imperfections, variations in the gilding and signs of storage. The drawer interiors show normal signs of use and age. These characteristics should be considered part of the history and patina of the pieces. Please carefully examine all photographs, which form an integral part of the description and show the consoles from different angles. INTERIOR USE A highly decorative pair suitable for entrance halls, living rooms, corridors, elegant bedrooms, boutiques, hotels, restaurants, historic residences and both classic and sophisticated contemporary interiors.
