Splendid and elegant wall-mounted antique corner shelf/console, crafted in hand-carved wood with a gilded finish. The most precious and impactful element is the central support carved in the round, depicting a fantastic creature (winged dragon / chimera) finely detailed with wings spread, a twisted body, and expressive features. The underlying structure features volute motifs and acanthus leaves in a classic/baroque taste. The upper surface has a shaped profile and is decorated along the edge with relief carvings. The surface of the top retains an antique finish with an original green/brown patina and gilded profiles. An object of great charm and elegance, perfect for showcasing sculptures, vases, or works of art in classical or eclectic interiors.
