with a lamp base entirely inlaid with tortoiseshell and brass. The lamp base features coloured inlays. Rich ornamentation in chiselled and gilded bronze. The dial is signed ‘La Chaussée à Paris’. At the top is a rocaille floral motif from which a putto emerges. Partly 18th-century. Total height: 125 cm – Width: 43 cm – Depth: 26 cm (Numerous chips and losses, replaced parts, restorations including the movement). Cheloniidae spp. (II/B). Pre-Convention specimen.
