Large Antique Hall Mirror in Carved and Gilded Wood Important large antique mirror, characterized by a rich frame in carved and gilded wood. The structure features a flowing and sinuous profile, embellished along the entire perimeter with elaborate carvings of vegetal and floral motifs, with leaves, flowers and volutes rendered in relief. The upper part is dominated by an important pierced crest, composed of interweavings of floral and foliate elements that confer particular elegance and movement to the whole. The inner border of the frame is finished with a continuous decoration of small spherical elements, which harmoniously follow the silhouette of the mirror. The back preserves a solid wooden panel-and-stretcher structure. The gilding shows natural signs, small losses and color variations visible in the photo, coherent with the antiquity and the lived history of the object.
