Wall mirror - Wood, Glass

Antique Venetian Ornamental Looking Glass in Louis XV Style with Depiction of a Noble Lady Important antique mirror in Venetian taste, in the Louis XV style, characterized by an elegant oval structure and a rich wooden frame finely carved, lacquered in dark tones and adorned with gold decorations. The frame features refined ornamental motifs with volutes, scrolls and acanthus leaves, with an elaborate upper crown and sculptural details distributed along the entire perimeter, expression of Rococo decorative taste. The ancient mirrored surface preserves a pronounced patina of time, with widespread oxidations and alterations of the silvering that confer to the piece an authentic and particularly scenographic charm. At the center of the mirror stands a delicate ornamental depiction of a noble lady in period attire, accompanied by elegant floral motifs and decorative arabesques along the edges. The back presents a wooden structure with fastening elements and a hook for suspension. The substantial proportions, the richness of the carvings, and the particular figurative decoration make this looking glass a striking piece, ideal for salons, entrance halls, historic homes, or refined interiors.
