Patinated bronze bust of the goddess Flora (or a bacchante), made in the style of the Belgian sculptor Jef Lambeaux (1852–1908), mounted on a marble pedestal. • Artist: design by Jef Lambeaux • Material: Patinated bronze on a marble base • Dimensions (average model): Approximately 32 cm tall, the bust itself is 21 cm. • Casting: The sharpness and depth of the signature, as well as the refined details in the grape clusters and the face, indicate a high-quality casting from the late 19th or early 20th century. • Height 32 cm, width 15 cm, weight 5.7 kilos. 1. Assessment of the specifications • Height (32 cm) & Width (15 cm) including base: This is the larger and most coveted salon edition of this specific model. The smaller variants often measure around 21 to 26 cm incl. base. A total height of 32 cm gives the statue a powerful and imposing presence. • Weight (5.7 kilos): This weight is a very strong indicator of solid bronze. Cheaper materials from that era (such as hollow-cast zamak or regulé) weigh typically considerably less (often between 2.5 and 4 kilos). This high weight confirms the solid quality of the casting and the density of the precious Portoro marble. • Will be insured and well packed for shipping.
