Volcanic Monochrome 4 - Simon Findlay

Volcanic Monochrome 4 by Simon Findlay Painting 47.2 x 59.1 :: Colour washes of orange yellow. Based on a research trip to Tenerife in which I hiked volcanoes mountains and forests every day. Photos were taken every second day and used as the starting point for abstraction. These works were made with dry pigment as a way to reflect the soil of the volcanic landscape and began by being monochromatic in order to push vibrancy within a limited colour range. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Abstract Subject: Abstract Width: 47.2 Height: 59.1 Depth: 0.8 Weight: 8 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
