Vintage Moroccan Boucherouite Runner – Abstract...

A charming vintage Boucherouite runner filled with spontaneous color and texture. Its narrow cream field is scattered with expressive fragments of red, turquoise, violet, orange, green, blue and black. Rather than following a strict repeated pattern, the weaver created a free and instinctive composition, making this rug feel almost like a piece of abstract textile art. Traditionally produced from reused pieces of fabric, Boucherouite rugs embody an ingenious Moroccan approach to recycling. The different textiles create variations in thickness and texture that give the surface its lively, tactile appearance. Its long, narrow proportions make this example ideal for a hallway, bedside, entrance, kitchen or small passageway. It could also be displayed vertically as a unique decorative wall hanging. At a glance Type: Vintage Boucherouite runner Origin: Morocco Technique: Handwoven Materials: Mixed recycled textile fibres Dimensions: 70 × 230 cm Colors: Multicoloured on a cream background Period: Vintage Condition: Excellent vintage condition Design: Free-form abstract composition Finish: Short fringes The rug is exceptionally well preserved, with no significant damage. Minor irregularities are inherent to its handmade construction and vintage character. It will be carefully packed and shipped from France with tracking.
