Vincent ÉPEAUX (attributed to) probably for MERCIER FRÈRES – PARIS Dining table in molded and carved mahogany with an oval-shaped top designed to accommodate extension leaves in the center. Corner base with curved legs joined by low side braces and a central column featuring a hollowed-out scroll motif. Markings on the underside. Included is a pencil drawing enhanced with color depicting this model, a chair, and a mirror in a red-stained wooden frame. Scratches, scuffs, and small stains H 70 cm - L 127 cm – 153 cm (total) – Depth: 115 cm (length: 253 cm with extensions: 49.5 cm x 2 and 24.5 cm Bibliography: Épeaux sales catalog, circa 1913, Paris, p. 28, featuring a table with a base similar to our model, listed under no. 349.
