A beautiful antique porcelain trio (tea service, saucer, and dessert plate) in the elegant "Royal Vienna" (Old Vienna) style. The set captivates with its magnificent, colorful decoration in burgundy and green, combined with rich, delicate gold painting. In the central medallion is a detailed, gallant scene (mythological motif with Amor’s chariot and the Graces) after the famous paintings by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. Details & provenance: • Manufacturer of the blank: Viktoria Schmidt & Co. (Altrohlau / Stará Role, Bohemia / Austria-Hungary). • Period of manufacture: before 1918 (Art Nouveau / Historicism). • Back stamps: On the bottom there is the blue overglaze mark "Beehive" (Bindenschild) as well as the original, gold-covered factory mark from Viktoria Altrohlau. • Contents: 1 cup, 1 saucer, 1 dessert plate. Condition (Excellent / Mint Condition): The set is in an absolutely flawless, collectible condition! • NO cracks, NO chips, NO restorations. • The gold decoration and the colors are superbly preserved and barely rubbed. • UV-tested: The cup was examined under UV light (blacklight) – the porcelain is completely intact, with no hidden hairlines or repairs. An absolute highlight for any display cabinet and a superb collectible for lovers of the Viennese porcelain style.
