Vetri d' Arte - Drinking set for 6 (6) - Medici - Crystal, 24kt gold

Rare Set of 6 Glasses "Medici" in Heavy Crystal and 24-Karat Gold – Murano, Mid-20th Century An extraordinary and elegant set consisting of 6 vintage wine glasses, dating to the mid-20th century, crafted in the iconic and precious "Medici" model in the great Murano art glass tradition. What makes this set a true collectible piece of exceptional rarity are its imposing, out-of-the-ordinary dimensions (12.5 x 9 x 7 cm) combined with a substantial weight of about 350 grams each, indicating thick, dense crystal of very high quality. Attribution and Craftsmanship: Manufacture: Attributable to the historic Murano Art Glassworks / Molerie specializing in the processing of high-value crystal for elite clientele. Base Work: The bottom of each glass features the characteristic manual star (rosette) grinding, done entirely freehand on the wheel to refine the pontil break point. This handmade finish gives the base a unique, organic imprint. Edge and Base: Rich upper band in 24-karat gold delicately worked in relief with classic volute and swirling motifs, also echoed on the thin profile of the base. Body: The crystal coupe bears delicate hand-engraved floral and geometric incisions that create splendid plays of light. Provenance and Context: Coming directly from a prestigious noble residence, this service embodies the ultimate expression of formal elegance and representation. Conservation Conditions: The set is presented in excellent overall period condition. There are very slight and negligible traces of gilding loss on some pieces, perfectly consistent with the object's authenticity and age, and not at all compromising its extraordinary visual beauty. Important note: The attached photographs are an integral and fundamental part of the object description; please examine them carefully in every detail before bidding. Type: Set of 6 wine/tasting glasses Model: Medici Murano Art Glassworks Period: Mid-20th century Dimensions: 12.5 x 9 x 7 cm each Weight: About 350 g each Provenance: Venetian noble residence An unmissable opportunity for refined collectors and lovers of fine antiquities, ideal for a grand table or to adorn a high-value display cabinet.
