Veronica Ciccarese - Nascosta in piena vista

Hidden in plain sight The contrast between the silence of the mouth and the intensity of the eyes is crucial. The eyes, a glaciate blue, fix the observer with an almost obsessive or painful intensity, and are the only part of the face that communicates openly. While the voice is repressed, the emotion and the soul are alive and urgent, and they desperately seek to communicate. The painting explores the theme of interrupted communication and the tension between the desire to express oneself and the impossibility of doing so. It is a poignant portrait of the imprisoned voice and the soul screaming in silence through the gaze. The painting has been selected and participated in the wonderful MEAM Hall 6 art collective at MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona. It is sold with the classic white wooden frame with glass that the museum offers for its small-format exhibitions. The painting appears to be preserved in a display case. Painted with high-quality Italian colors on a wooden panel. With certificate of authenticity. Varnished with a semi-gloss transparent varnish to protect it from time and UV rays. Fast and secure shipping with tracking in a carefully packed wooden crate with bubble wrap. For shipments outside the European Union and Switzerland, there will be a delay of a few days to retrieve customs certifications.
