Vaso Vintage in Vetro di Murano – Italia

Vintage Glass Vase from Murano – Excavation Finish and Glossy Black Applications – Italy, 1960s Refined and original artistic Murano glass vase dating from the 1960s, a visually striking piece that testifies to the extraordinary technical, material, and formal experimentation of Venetian craftsmanship of the era. The work stands out for its peculiar surface treatment, the “excavation” finish, which gives the glass a porous, opaque, and tactilely rich texture with archaic and unique charm. This textured body is magnificently contrasted by the hot-applications in glossy black glass: an elegant spiral motif twisted around the neck and two distinctive side maschera masks applied to the sides, creating a suggestive play of tactile and visual contrasts between the rough surface and the shiny details.
