Vase - Rococo - Ceramic, Brass - Courtship Scene

Rococo-style decorative urn First half of the 20th century Materials: adorned body and gilt bronze structure. Elegant rococo-style decorative urn inspired by French models of the 18th century, made during the first half of the 20th century with a rich structure of gilt bronze richly ornamented. The piece stands out for the harmonious combination between its central body, in a deep green hue, and the exuberant metal mount in rococo taste. The body of the vessel features a delicate oval cartouche framed by fine gold motifs, showing a Rococo-inspired gallant scene in which several figures share a moment of leisure in a rural setting. This type of decoration evokes pastoral and courtly compositions popularized by French masters of the 18th century. The bronze mount exhibits elaborate ornamental work composed of volutes, acanthus leaves and finely chiselled vegetal motifs. It especially stands out its slender, pierced, sinuous handle, topped by an elegant-profile spout that adds dynamism to the silhouette of the piece. The piece rests on a molded base with a rich decorative repertoire, where vegetal forms and curvilinear reliefs reinforce the refined character of the ensemble. The gilded bronze finish creates an appealing contrast with the central body, highlighting the visual quality and aristocratic character of the composition. Object conceived primarily for ornamental purposes, representative of historicist taste and the revival of French styles during the first half of the 20th century. Ideal for decorating display cabinets, classical living rooms, or specialized collections of European decorative arts. Tracked shipping and careful packaging. #madeinfrance
