Vase - Metal alloy - decorative historicist urn with griffins and figures

Large and scenographic decorative urn in patinated metal alloy, dating approximately to the first half of the 20th century. The piece stands out for the richness of its composition: the central vase-shaped body, with a lid and large volute handles, rises above an elaborate structure decorated with griffins, female figures, vegetal motifs, and ornaments in a classical taste. The ornamental repertoire recalls historicist and Neo-Renaissance sensibilities, reinterpreted in the decorative arts of the early 20th century. Notable also for its size and weight, about 3 kg, it preserves a beautiful patina of time with natural oxidations, wear, and traces of the original finish.
