Vase - Ceramic, Copenhagen

Danish mid-century vase – Elegant blue floral decor on a white background A refined vase of Danish manufacture, dating from the mid-century, combining a geometric silhouette with a rich vegetal decoration in blue tones. The body with a square-section, with well-defined edges, narrows toward the neck to open up into a characteristic flared rim. This structure gives the vase a sculptural presence, enhanced by the contrast between the white background and the ornamental motifs. The surface features a dense interweaving of stylized leaves and small floral elements, distributed on the faces of the vase with a pleasing decorative rhythm. The blue borders along the mouth and base frame the composition, while the glossy finish enhances colors and details. An object of great impact, interesting for enthusiasts of Nordic ceramics and decorative arts of the Twentieth Century. Perfect to display alone on a console, a sideboard or a bookshelf, it also finds a suggestive place in austere environments and Bauhaus-inspired furnishings. * Provenance: Denmark * Period: mid-20th century * Material: glazed ceramic * Decoration: blue vegetal and floral motifs on a white background * Dimensions: height 31 cm; width 15 cm; depth 15 cm The original photographs constitute an integral part of the description and allow evaluation of details and condition.
