The specific technique you see here is Sanggam (inlay work) or a fine painting under the glaze. Symboliek: The flying cranes (hak) and clouds (un) in Korean culture symbolize long life, peace and spiritual elevation. Het Glazuur: The characteristic light green to blueish glaze is called celadon (in Korean: Cheongja). The fine pattern of cracks is craquelé glaze (often referred to as ice-crack pattern), which is a desirable aesthetic feature in Asian ceramics. Datering: This type of vase is a high-quality modern or mid-20th-century (vintage) reproduction of the classical masterpieces from the 12th century.
