A highly decorative 19th-century French hard-paste porcelain vase by the celebrated master Jacob Petit (1796–1868). The baluster-form body rises from a flared circular foot to a scalloped, foliate rim, heavily enriched throughout with intricate hand-painted gold leaf scrollwork. The front and reverse are densely applied with highly detailed, high-relief encrusted porcelain flowers (fleurs en relief), featuring large blossoming roses, dahlias, and field flowers delicately detailed in pink, purple, and blue enamels. The piece is fitted with vibrant, twisted sky-blue handles. Note: The vase shows minor typical firing imperfections and a small, professionally executed restoration to some of the delicate porcelain flower petals, which does not diminish its overall display quality
