Vase (2) - Enamel, Brass, Wood

This is a pair of Chinese bowls made with the traditional cloisonné technique, an ancient form of decorative art. Their appeal lies in the detailed floral motifs and the rich color palette, which make them pieces with a strong visual impact and a testament to refined craftsmanship. The bowls are made of metal with enamel applied using the cloisonné technique, which uses thin metal wires to separate the different color areas. The rims and the knobs of the lids are finished in gilded metal, while the interior features a striking turquoise enamel in contrast. Each bowl is accompanied by a dark carved wooden base that enhances its display. The bowls are generally in good condition, consistent with their age and past use. The enamel finish is intact and preserves its color vitality, showing the character and patina of time. The wooden supports are structurally solid and complete the objects’ aesthetics. Thanks to their compact size and decorative value, these bowls are ideal for enriching a console, a bookcase, or a display cabinet. They integrate perfectly into classic, eclectic, or Asian-inspired interiors, adding a touch of color and history.
