Ursula van de Bunte - Jelly Reverie

The story of the Jelly is a story of images filled with gentleness, vulnerability, and femininity. These handmade creations consist of 90% water, just like the human body. In these translucent forms, the photographer integrates unexpected elements. Ursula’s Jellys symbolize that delicate vulnerability, but also stand for the softness and strength of women. The organic shapes of the ‘appealing desserts’ reflect the natural beauty and cuddliness of the female body. Transparent and pure, but also unfathomable because you don’t know what is happening inside. The photographer works with the latest Hasselblad equipment and creates her photography from a studio housed in a monumental building in the Hanseatic city of Kampen. Her work is presented in museums, galleries, and at art fairs. Jelly Reverie, a stunning print on Canson Fibre Rag in the 25x25 format. It is the first edition of 20 copies.
