UPI Magazine Services

Portrait of Ernesto “Che” Guevara made in 1960, in a close and informal image that shows the Cuban revolutionary in a relaxed attitude, resting his hand on his face and wearing his characteristic uniform. It is a press photograph from the era, with signs of editorial use and agency stamps on the back, including UPI Magazine Services, which reinforces its journalistic provenance and its circulation in media. The image stands out for offering a more human and spontaneous view of Che, far from his more usual official and military portraits. This type of photographs from the early years of the Cuban Revolution is especially attractive to collectors of photojournalism, 20th-century history, Cuban Revolution and memorabilia of Che Guevara. Date: 1960 Dimensions: 17 × 11 cm Technique: Silver gelatin print. Condition: shows normal signs of aging and editorial use, visible in the photographs. A historical piece with strong visual presence and special interest for a collection dedicated to Che Guevara and international press photography of the 20th century.
