Unworn "Trilogy" ring with vintage diamonds in platinum, from our workshop

"Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the passing on of fire." The famous symphonist Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) already knew this. This sentence applies particularly to this modern ring, as its romantic symbolism follows a centuries-old tradition. The ring was commissioned by us and is a fine example of the survival of a classical type which at the same time does not deny its time of origin. The restrained, modern platinum ring band bears three sparkling white diamonds with a total weight of 1.01 carats, with a larger center stone weighing 0.51 ct flanked by two smaller diamonds. All stones have a very good brilliance due to their modern cut, excellent color and very good clarity. The special feature of this ring is that all three diamonds are vintage diamonds. They came to us as part of pieces of jewellery from the 1960s and 1970s, which unfortunately could no longer be repaired. However, the diamonds were perfectly preserved and of very good quality, so we decided to set them in this ring, which was newly created by our goldsmiths. The design idea for the ring was developed from the tradition of trilogy rings, which are charged with content. The number of gemstones in these pieces stands for the past, present and future lived together. The diamonds, which according to legend are indestructible and therefore eternal gemstones, stand for the infinity of the relationship. Due to its shape, but also its meaning, our ring can therefore be a perfect engagement ring or a gift of love.
