All automatic watches must be wound initially via the crown as winding by movement alone is not sufficient to maintain the required power reserve. RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE To avoid possible damage to the movement, please do not set the date via the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date via the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for settings, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Don’t forget to properly re-tighten the crown after modifying the desired settings.)
