Trip Trap - Tray - Teak

Trip Trap – Solid Teak Tray / Serving Tray – Danish Design – Years 1960s/70s Beautifully crafted solid teak tray from the Danish manufacturer Trip Trap, a design that brings together the best of Scandinavian craftsmanship and functional mid-century design. This elegant serving tray stands out for its architectural form with a refined open-weave lattice bottom, warm teak grain, and finely crafted finger-joint corner connections—details that are characteristic of high-quality Danish furniture craftsmanship from the period. Trip Trap was known for objects in which functionality and aesthetics meet perfectly, and this is clearly visible in this design. The tray has a nearly graphic look and functions not only as a practical serving item but also as a decorative design piece within a Scandinavian, Japandi, or mid-century interior. The perforated lattice construction gives the design airiness and rhythm, while the warm solid teak provides a rich, timeless appearance. A design that looks both sober and sculptural — typical of Danish modernism. Suitable as: * serving tray for coffee, tea, or breakfast * cocktail or bar tray * decorative object on a coffee table or sideboard * collector’s piece for lovers of Scandinavian Design Details * Manufacturer: Trip Trap * Origin: Denmark * Period: approx. 1960–1970 * Material: solid teak * Construction with open lattice bottom and integrated handles Dimensions Length: 51.5 cm Width: 35.5 cm Height: 6.1 cm Weight: 1506 grams In nice vintage condition with light, age-appropriate signs of use.
