Trilobite - Fossilised animal - Crotalocephalus gibbus

Two fossil trilobites on rock matrix – Paleontological specimen Remarkable fossil specimen displaying two trilobites preserved on their natural rock matrix, one specimen particularly well visible with its body fully preserved. The main trilobite is distinguished by its elongated, segmented body, its successive rings and its raised carapace. Its characteristic morphology is highlighted by the natural tones of brown, ocher and gray of the fossilisation. A second trilobite is also present on the same matrix, offering additional interest to this fossil assemblage. The rock shows a natural mineral texture, with color variations and irregularities that underscore the specimen’s age and authentic character. Trilobites are marine arthropods now extinct that lived during the Paleozoic era. Their fossils are particularly prized by collectors for the diversity of their forms and the richness of their anatomical details. This assemblage constitutes an interesting piece for a paleontology collection, a cabinet of curiosities, or a private collection devoted to marine fossils. Characteristics * Type: Pair of fossil trilobites * Number of specimens: 2 * Conservation: On natural rock matrix * Special feature: One trilobite with the body entirely visually preserved * Colors: Brown, ocher, gray and dark nuances * Appearance: Prominent relief and visible body segmentation * Condition: Specimen on matrix displaying natural irregularities, cleaned and treated.. * Geological period: Devonian. * Provenance: Morocco.
