Towards The Horizon 16. by Petr Strnad Painting 19.7 x 27.6 :: This abstract mixed-media series on 400g Fabriano paper combines ink drawing and acrylic painting emerging from my fascination with horizons in abandoned and expansive places. These works explore the quiet dialogue between distance and structure — where the line of the horizon becomes both a boundary and an invitation. Through the interplay of geometric forms and textured surfaces I seek to construct spaces that hover between precision and intuition order and emptiness. Each composition invites viewers to move beyond the visible to engage with the rhythm of form and material and to sense the tension between what is defined and what dissolves. To preserve the artwork’s tactile depth each piece is sealed with a transparent semi-gloss varnish that protects the surface while enhancing the richness of its layered textures. As an abstract artist I use perspective and geometry to deconstruct the world and rebuild it into a personal visual language.
