Tony Fernandez - Mickey Mouse Inspired by Disney's...

• Hand Signed by the Artist • Unique Original Artwork from the "Inspired By" Collection • Certificate of Authenticity Included • Ready to Frame It is one of the most magical moments in the history of animation. In "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", the most famous segment of Disney's Fantasia (1940), Mickey falls asleep and dreams that he stands on a rocky peak, commanding the stars and the waves of the sea with a simple gesture of his hands. Tony Fernandez, a veteran Disney artist, captures that instant of pure power. Seen from behind, Mickey in his red robe and his famous blue hat with white stars stretches his arms towards the sky, while a great wave of turquoise rises in front of him in broad, energetic brushstrokes, as if the music itself were taking shape. Painted in acrylic on art paper, the piece combines Tony's confident black line, refined by decades of drawing the character, with spontaneous, vibrant colour and generous areas of white paper that give the composition a fresh, contemporary feel. A dynamic, highly decorative tribute to the image that has defined Mickey for generations. ▸ Acrylic on art paper ▸ Format: 42 x 30 cm (unframed) Tony Fernandez is a veteran Disney artist who has been drawing Disney's most beloved characters for more than 35 years and continues to work for Disney in Europe today.
