Created in 2024, this original painting by Tony Fernandez takes inspiration from Miró's famous The Red Disc Pursuing the Lark (1953), transforming Disney's beloved duck into a playful composition of abstract shapes, floating symbols and vibrant colors. Look closely and Donald is still there! His sailor hat, familiar beak and unmistakable personality emerge from a curious mix of circles, dots and flowing black lines. It's a clever visual game that brings together the humor of Disney and the artistic freedom of Surrealism. Painted by hand in acrylic on paper, this one-of-a-kind piece captures the spontaneity and bold simplicity of Miró's visual language while adding a distinctly Disney twist. ▸ Original Acrylic on Art Paper – 30 x 21 cm (unframed) ▸ Created in 2024 The artwork belongs to the celebrated “Inspired By” Collection, a series of over 600 creations exploring the connection between Disney characters and iconic figures from art and popular culture.
