The maxi-single was released on Jan. 17, 1992 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA later that year on May 17 for one million copies sold. Remember TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (1971-2002) with this award. The trio's first single off their debut album "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg" was released as a maxi-single and hit #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks charts. It also reached #3 in Canada and charted in the UK and Europe. As songwriters, Dallas Austin and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes were nominated for the Ooooooohhh...
