Timeless Victorian-Style Bangle with Untreated Sapphires, Mid-20th Century

The same rule applies today as it did a century or two ago: not every lover of beautiful pieces of jewellery wears jewels in the same style at the same time. A famous example is the diamond jewellery of the 19th century, which retained the forms of the 18th century for a long time in a courtly setting. And even when we leaf through antique jewellery catalogs from the 1920s, we find the bold novelties on the first pages - but further back in the catalog we find the classics, which were aimed at ladies who preferred to be adorned in a classic rather than fashion-forward style. This bangle will have originally belonged to such a lady, a devotee of understated luxury and tried-and-tested designs. Although it follows a typical Victorian design of the 1890s, some small details show that it was created a few decades later - but it is so timeless that it is difficult to say whether this was in the 1920s or the 1950s. At the same time, it is equipped with the greatest luxury: 3.55 ct of wonderful medium blue sapphires are lined up close together, set in straight-lined white gold settings. The stones have slightly different shades and each one is slightly unique. They show no signs of treatment, their colour and transparency are products of nature. We have had an independent gemological report drawn up for the bangle, which will be supplied with the piece. A timeless jewel that is in no danger of going out of fashion.
