Timeless Art Déco Platinum Ring With 1.50 ct Old European Cut Diamond

What lover of antique jewellery has never wished to travel back in time? Perhaps to the Art Deco era, to choose a piece of jewellery typical of the period from the selection of jewellers, shining in the light of fine diamonds and white platinum... At this point, we can offer you the closest possible fulfillment of this dream - because this ring comes from the manufactory of the German jewellery manufacturer Alfons Grupp, AGRU for short, and is illustrated in his 50th anniversary catalog from 1937. With wise foresight, Grupp already advertised on the first page, which also shows this ring: "Jewels of such first-class quality and beauty have everlasting value and form the basis of precious family possessions that will be enjoyed by future generations." Grupp was proved right, as the ring is still in excellent condition and, despite all the finesse typical of the period, can be described as timeless. Grupp advertises that the ring is set with "23 1a brilliant-cut diamonds". The diamonds are indeed remarkably fine in colour and clarity for jewellery of the time. The centerpiece of the ring is the large, one and a half carat old European cut diamond, which unfolds a wonderful brilliance with lively fire in G colour with only very small inclusions (vsi) - a true firework. Other, smaller diamonds adorn every part of the ornamental frame. The stones are set in solid platinum, which is shaped into delicate volutes even when viewed from the side, so that the ring looks beautiful from every angle. We have had an independent appraisal carried out on this first-class ring, which confirms the quality of the materials. A wonderful and extremely high-quality piece of Art Deco jewellery.
