Refined Thonet chair in Art Nouveau style, dating from the early 20th century. The great classic. The most well-known and best-selling product. Designed by Michael Thonet in 1860, no. 14 was immediately characterized as the bistro chair. Minimalist in its use of material and in the number of parts comprising it—only six—the no. 14 is the result of nearly twenty years of technological research. Simple, versatile and always current, it is considered the first example of industrial design. The structure is composed of steam-bent solid beech elements, with the backrest and rear legs formed by a single piece of wood. Made in steam-bent beech wood, according to Michael Thonet's patent. The chair is in generally good condition, solid frame and intact Vienna straw (see photos). Dimensions: 85 cm height x 40 cm width. Its original label under the seat and the brand etched in relief are still present. Transport information. Each of our items will be carefully packed and shipped with a regular tracking code.
