Born 1958 in Zell am Harmersbach, he studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Bernd Becher. Ruff is known for his series "Porträts" (1981-1985), in which he reinterpretated classic portrait photography and, through the use of large-format prints, created a new dimension of detail. His work also includes the series "Jpegs" (2004-2007), where he used unaltered images from the Internet as artistic material to explore the boundaries between digital and analog photography. - no shipping to the Canary Islands, Taiwan possible -
