Themed collection - Engraved trowel and wooden mallet – Traditional symbols

Masonic Set – Trowel engraved and wooden hammer – Traditional symbols A fine set of two symbolic tools of Freemasonry, consisting of a metal trowel with a wooden handle and a wooden-only mallet, featuring several Masonic engravings. The masonic trowel: The metal part, triangular in shape, displays an engraving of the square and compasses interlaced, with in their center the letter G, emblematic symbol of Masonic tradition. The metal surface bears an antique patina, with traces of oxidation and use that give it an authentic character. The wooden handle shows a beautiful natural patina and metal ferrules at its ends. The masonic mallet: Made entirely of wood, this mallet has a cylindrical head and a handle decorated on its two faces. On one face, an engraving representing a knot rope, evoking the chain of union and the fraternal bonds among Freemasons. On the other face, an inscription rendered in traditional Masonic alphabet, composed of geometric characters and dots. The engravings give this tool particular interest for lovers of Masonic symbolism. Symbolism of the set: The trowel traditionally symbolizes fraternal unity, while the mallet represents will, work and effort needed for self-perfection. Together, these two tools evoke the work of the Freemason, both on himself and in his relations with his Brethren. State of conservation: Set showing signs of use, with wood patina and visible oxidation on the metal part of the trowel. The engravings remain visible, despite the metal wear. A decorative and symbolic set, intended for collectors of Masonic objects, enthusiasts of traditional tools, and lovers of the history of Freemasonry.
