Plate XIII from: Carceri d'Invenzione. A very fine lifetime impression of Robison’s first state (of six), printing with a light, selectively wiped tone, with ink dabbing at the base of the well, and before the triangular structure at lower left and the additional shading throughout. From the First Edition, First through Third Issues, published in Rome circa 1749–60. With wide margins around the partially uncleaned plate edges. – With binding holes along the left edge and with the characteristic flattened central fold. Otherwise in very good condition.
