“The Last Supper – The Bread of Life” is an intensely spiritual work dedicated to one of the most solemn and significant moments of the Gospel narrative: Jesus’ Last Supper with the Twelve Apostles, an episode deeply linked to the Eucharist, sacrifice, and fraternal communion. At the center of the composition the figure of Jesus Christ dominates, recognizable by the luminous halo surrounding His head. Seated at the table with the Apostles, Christ holds the bread in His hands while the chalice is placed before Him: elements that constitute the symbolic core of the work and recall the institution of the Eucharist, through the gesture by which the bread and wine acquire a new and profoundly spiritual meaning. Around Christ gather the Apostles, represented in different postures: some listen attentively, others seem to question or address one another, creating a scene that is lively yet intimate.
