Tutte le aste / Altro / The Franklin Mint – Stewart Mark Feldman – Sculpture en...
Superb collection porcelain sculpture titled "Liberty" by the fine porcelain artist Stewart Mark Feldman and published by The Franklin Mint in 1986. An elegant, airy composition, characteristic of Franklin Mint decorative creations of that period. The sculpture depicts a young woman in a graceful and dynamic pose, seemingly carried by the movement. Her long dress and flowing drapery float around her silhouette, giving the piece a remarkable impression of lightness. The young woman holds in her raised hand a torch whose flame is delicately enhanced with a gold finish. Beside her rises a large curved element richly decorated with relief floral motifs, which accompanies the movement of the sculpture and enhances its elegance. The white porcelain displays fine modeling work: delicacy of the face and hairstyle, folds of the garment, floral garlands, drapery and numerous small sculpted ornaments. The composition rests on a circular gold-toned base that elegantly contrasts with the whiteness of the porcelain. Under the piece is the original mark: "Crafted in Fine Porcelain – Liberty – by Stewart Mark Feldman – 1986 The Franklin Mint." The base also bears a “Made in Hong Kong” label. With its 27 cm height and slender silhouette, this sculpture has a beautiful decorative presence while preserving the finesse characteristic of Franklin Mint porcelain.
