Taxidermy: A Cased Common Roach (Rutilus rutilus), dated December 1934, by John Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor Street, St Luke's, London, EC, (Griggs), (Rutilus rutilus), Taxidermy: A Cased Common Roach (Rutilus rutilus), dated December 1934, by John Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor Street, St Luke's, London, EC, (Griggs), a skin-mount preserved and mounted within a naturalistic setting amidst reeds and grasses, set above a pebbled riverbed, mounted against a graduated pale-green painted backdrop, enclosed within a typical ebonised bow-fronted three-panel display case with gilded border, 51.5cm by 13.5cm by 31.5cm, taxidermist's full paper trade label to case interior upper right, bearing gilt legend to front-glass -" Roach 2lbs 1½ ozs, Caught by F. Perry at the Elms, Rickmansworth, 26th Dec: 1934".
